About Us
Deb is the face of Two Sisters Gourmet by PartyLite. I love to cook, but now that we’re empty nesters, it’s mostly just for two. (The three dogs rarely get leftovers). I try to cook good food every day – not pretty, or particularly elaborate, but a little different. I love fresh – the experience of the farmer’s market is as much fun as the cooking and eating. I love foods of different cultures. When I understand their cooking style, I learn about the people and culture. I’m learning to deal with the demands of middle age issues in food – salt, fat, gluten free, and always calories (you know). Sometimes I go all out though for a special meal with friends – or just Rick and me. My son Scott, lives and works in LA, my original home (ok – so I don’t look like a California girl). My daughter Laura is a junior in college. I have been in the food business for over 25 years marketing well known household brands. Now I oversee product and recipe development in addition to other aspects of the brand.
The idea of this blog is to:
- Share my love of food and cooking
- Share some fun facts I’ve learned about food and culture
- Share some recipes to make your life a little easier.
- Share the writing with some of you.
We all know what it’s like to serve the same series of dishes to your family with no response. And we’ve all felt the thrill when someone in the family actually notices and thanks you! We want to up the “thank you” portion of your life.
